Common questions
How much does it cost?
Your first consult is free — 30 minutes, no commitment. After that, academic tutoring is $80 an hour, SAT and ACT prep is $130 an hour, and college counseling is $225 an hour. Multi-session packages bring the hourly rate down, and the exact price for each option is shown when you book.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
You can reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before your session using the link in your confirmation email. For changes inside 24 hours, just email us and we'll do our best to accommodate.
What should my student bring to a session?
Just whatever they're currently working on — a textbook, an assignment, or a topic they want help with. For online sessions, a laptop or tablet with a stable connection works best.

Every SOY Academy mentor is matched by subject and experience. You can see each tutor's background, subjects, and availability on the tutor directory before you book.
Is tutoring online?
Yes — every session is online. Your student works with the tutor best suited to their subject and goals, regardless of where you live.
